LED lights have changed

Over the years, many clients have asked us about bulbs and what is the latest technology.  Several years ago, we were one of the first in town to use LED bulbs in our projects. At that time, the LED bulbs cost $65 per bulb.

Things have sure changed!

Doug Walter recently wrote an article in the June 2015 issue of Professional Remodeler.   His article discusses many benefits to replacing an incandescent or halogen bulb with a $16.00 LED that might make you think about paying a higher initial cost. He found in most cases, you could recover your investment within the first year.

Not only are LEDs a good cost value, they are considerably cooler to the touch.  Incandescent bulbs can reach temperatures of 200°F and MR16 Halogen bulbs can reach a scorching 400° F.  LEDs are comparatively cooler at 120F!

Another benefit is the extended life of the LED.  An LED bulb can last up to 13 years under normal usage.  That gives you something to think about when you are on that tall ladder changing an incandescent bulb - again.

After looking at the cost/value, the heat produced, and the benefit of not changing a bulb for 13 years, why not buy LEDs?
