Faux Barn Wood

Faux barn wood?

This is a cool product! It is from Coronado Stone and it looks authentic. It is made from the casting of real boards taken off of old barns. Ok you ask, “Why not just get some real old barn wood, or the real thing?” Well, there are several reasons. Old wood like this is increasingly difficult to find. Secondly, this product is sustainable and is made from clay and not taken from old growth trees. But for this job, the reason was different. We wanted to put a product that is adjacent to and touching the fireplace. This meant it had to be non-combustible.
