Whenever we are looking at a potential project, our customers often ask how long the process will take before their home is finished. I always tell them; some projects take longer than others. It all depends. And then I reassure them that they are in good hands.
So, one of the things that can cause a project to take longer is site work. When building a new home, there is always more site work involved. Site work constitutes of (possibly) moving dirt, removing trees, installing septic, or hooking up sewer, etc. In other words, getting the site ready for foundation.
For this new home project, since this property is waterfront, the site work was more extensive, as you can tell. One of the major parts of this site work has been moving enough dirt around to accommodate and support the retaining wall.
