Terminus

We frequently use what we call a terminus. A terminus is defined as "A final point in space or time."

 In architectural terms, this could refer to the end of a long hallway, for instance. Sometimes, a blank wall at the end of the hallway suffices. However, there are times when you may want to draw attention down the hall towards something interesting.

This can be achieved using light, art, a bench, or a piece of built-in woodwork. Alternatively, you could combine these elements.

In the photo below, you can see a cabinet adorned with barn wood placed above it, illuminated by an LED puck light that automatically turns on from dawn to dusk.
